  • Good for grazing; Animals will strip leaves and leave the fibrous stems.  Leaves contain up to 23.8 percent crude protein.  If allowed a recovery period, leaves will regrow from axillary buds.

Seeding
Plant when soils are 60-65 degrees at 1/2″- 1 1/4″ deep.  Sole seeded: drill 7-9 lbs/acre or broadcast and incorporate 10-14 lbs/acre.  Drill 4lbs/acre if mixed with sorghum species.  In complex mixes, include 2-3 lbs/acre
