Corn seedlings face challenges from insects and diseases. The high organic matter content of soils on many farms and the increased use of manure and cover crops (and the decomposing plant residue which follows cover crops) has increased the frequency and severity of these problems. Uneven corn stands lead to lower yields and increased weed pressure.

RiseUp + BioGuard is an OMRI-approved^* blend of biologicals that has been proven to reduce insect feeding and fungal disease damage, and to improve emergence, root growth, plant stand uniformity, and plant nutrient uptake for season-long health. It has been tested for efficacy in the lab and in field trials for four years, and these studies have repeatedly shown that seedlings treated with these ingredients suffer less insect damage, have improved emergence and thicker plant stands, and average more yield per acre.

For best results, do not plant early in cold soils, or just before a cold and rainy period. We strongly recommend waiting until the soil temperature at 7 am at a 3-inch depth is 50 degrees and you have a favorable 5-day forecast. Avoid fields likely to have a significant cutworm or corn rootworm infestation.
