Forages are an unsung hero in the Midwest and good production practices are often overlooked. This year, we plan to host an educational session beginning with a noon meal. The session will host two keynote speakers focusing on understanding alfalfa forage quality (Dr. Dan Putnam, professor emeritus with UC-Davis Extension), and liquid manure applications (Glen Arnold, professor with Ohio State University Extension). Other topics such as forage/range grazing practices, relay cropping, and business management will be covered. The day will conclude with a business meeting.
