Southeast Minnesota Forage Field Day & Dairy Tour

The Southeast Minnesota Forage Field Day & Dairy Tour will be on Aug 8 with two great farm hosts.
The day starts at Valley Angus Farm at 23717 151st Ave, Spring Valley with the first talk at 10 am. At noon we will move to Heusinkveld Farms, 17526 County Hwy 5, Spring Valley.
Topics include: MDA Resources for Livestock Producers (including cost share for direct marketers which Valley Angus Farms has participated in); Fencing & Water Options, Carbon Credits, and Making Money with Cover Crops. Each farm will provide a tour and participants will be able to see grazing fields and alfalfa in organic systems as well as tour a dairy facility looking at heifer barns and a tunnel vented dairy barn.
